What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture was derived from China 2,500 years ago and is an extraordinary Oriental Alternative Medicine technique that stimulates the anatomical points of the skin through the penetration of fine needles manipulated via electrical stimulation or manually. This technique correct imbalances of energy flow (Qi) and restores the normal flow of energy through the body, which is essential for health.
The practice of acupuncture has been used to treat identifiable pathophysiological (disease) conditions but acupuncture can also be used for cosmetic reasons such as slimming or facial rejuvenation.
There are other relevant treatments such as Cupping, Tui Na, and prescribed herbal medication, which are also practiced.
